    Combination of ballet, tap, and creative movement.

    ACADEMIC BALLET DIVISION
    Basic ballet positions, steps, technique, proper placement and body alignment, and a workable knowledge
    of ballet terminology.
    Two classes per week are recommended for Ballet II.
    Two classes per week are required for Ballet III and above.

    STUDENT BALLET DIVISION

    These students will progress to more advanced technique, building stamina, strength, self-discipline, artistic style, and performance techniques. Three classes per week are required for Ballet III and above, with four classes per week recommended for Intermediate III and above.

    The intermediate and advanced classes further strengthen and develop the dancer's technique needed for performance.

    Men in Motion is an introductory combination of jazz, tap, and musical theatre dance for young men only.


    MEN IN MOTION
    AGE: 10 & up
    INSTRUCTOR:

    Modern Dance is a multi-cultural, natural form of dance. Dancers may go barefoot or use lyrical shoes.
    INTERMEDIATE I MODERN

    REPERTOIRE

    Repertoire class is open to any student enrolled in Intermediate II/III level and above. Students must enroll in three or more Intermediate II/III level technique classes in addition to the Repertoire class. This is a performing class that will be called upon to participate in community events throughout the season. Dancers from the Repertoire class will also audition for featured roles in Little Red Riding Hood and Beauty & the Beast.

    REPERTOIRE
    AGE: 12 & up

    Prerequisite: Repertoire Students are required to attend both Repertoire Ballet and Repertoire and will be assigned to level by instructor.

     

     

    TUITION FOR DANCE CLASSES

    Tuition paid monthly:

    1 class per week $38 per month
    2 classes per week $66 per month
    3 classes per week $80 per month
    4 classes per week $90 per month
    5 classes per week $110 per month
    6+ classes per week $120 per month
    Dance/Theatre Combo $75 per month

    1 1/4 hour classes have an additional $5.00 fee per month.
    1 1/2 hour classes have an additional $10.00 fee per month

    A 10% discount will apply for full semester dance tuition (must be paid with September and/or January payments)

     

    DRESS CODE
    FOR DANCE CLASSES:

    KINDERDANCE & PRE-BALLET/TAP
    Girls - Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and black tap shoes.
    Boys - White T-shirt, black tights, black jazz pants or black shorts, black ballet slippers, and black tap shoes.

    PRIMARY BALLET
    Girls - Pale blue leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. (No Skirts Please)
    Boys - White T-shirt, black tights, black jazz pants, and black ballet slippers.

    BALLET I thru ADVANCED BALLET
    Girls - Black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. (Skirts are allowed in pointe class only.)
    Young men - White T-shirt, black tights, or black jazz pants, and black ballet slippers.

    TAP CLASSES - Any color leotard and black tights or black jazz pants, and black tap shoes.

    JAZZ CLASSES - Any color leotard and tights, with black jazz pants, and black jazz shoes.

    STAGE DANCE CLASSES - Any color leotard, and tights or black jazz pants, black tap shoes, and black jazz shoes.

    MODERN CLASSES - Any color leotard, black jazz pants, any color t-shirt, and lyrical shoes or bare feet.

    BALLROOM CLASSES
    Girls – Any color leotard, jazz pants, and character shoes.
    Boys – Athletic wear, black jazz shoes or oxfords.

    MEN IN MOTION – Athletic wear, black jazz shoes, and black tap shoes.

    DANCE SHOES – Ballet shoes for levels Ballet I and above should be made of canvas or leather, have leather or split-soles, and should fit properly.
