Join us for an exciting week as we offer a variety of workshops for young people. The workshops will culminate in a Saturday, Aug. 2, 5:00 p.m. performance and presentation by all workshop participants. The week will also include performances of our summer Black Box Theatre production, Working. We will be hosting a silent auction on Saturday evening following the workshop performance and prior to the Working production. This is our major fund raising event of the year for the Muller Theatre so we hope you will be able to participate in any way possible.

Students will perform at Saturday’s show and the workshop will be a comprehensive focus on professional music theatre preparation, production, and performance. Participants enrolling in both Music Theatre & Choreography for the Stage will have lunch provided on Mon. & Tues.
Day & Time:
Mon. & Tues. 9:00-12:00, Wed., 2:00-4:00, Fri. 10:00-11:00, & Sat. 3:30-4:30
(Participants will stay on Sat. for 5:00 p.m. performance.)
Cost: $125.00 for 10 hrs. (Maximum – 16 participants)
CHOREOGRAPHY FOR THE STAGE offered by Lindsey Kirkpatrick
A multi-level dance workshop that will help prepare the actor for musical theatre auditions and performance. Participants will perform during Saturday’s presentation. Participants enrolling in both Music Theatre & Choreography for the Stage will have lunch provided on Mon. & Tues.
Day & Time: Mon. & Tues. 1:00-5:00
Cost: $100.00 for 8 hrs. (Maximum – 16 participants)
BROADCASTING offered by John Bazzelle with guest Stephanie Bergman from KSN Channel 3
Students will be introduced to the world of Broadcasting by two people who have worked in the industry. They will also write, film, & edit a short TV commercial & News Story which will be presented at Saturday’s Workshop Presentation. Lunch will be provided.
Day & Time: Thurs. 9:00-5:00
Cost: $100.00 for 8 hrs. (Maximum – 12 participants)
PLAYWRITING offered by Kristen Bomhoff Woodburn
Participants will use various creative processes such as improvisation, story boarding, and outlining, to create their own scene and write appropriate stage directions. The scenes will then be performed, readers theatre style, at the Workshop Presentation on Saturday.
Day & Time: Mon. & Wed. 6:00-8:00 p.m. & Fri. 3:00-5:00
Cost: $75.00 for 6 hrs. (Maximum – 8 participants)
AUDITIONING FOR TELEVISION COMMERCIALS offered by Cara Statham Serber
Participants will receive valuable information on preparing for and delivering successful commercial auditions from a professional actress who has been featured in several national commercials. Lunch will be provided on Wednesday.
Day & Time: Wed. 10:00-2:00 & Fri. 1:00-3:00
Cost: $75.00 for 6 hrs. (Maximum – 16 participants)

"WORKING" AUDITIONS:
WORKING explores the American workday from the
Monday morning blues to the second shift blahs as workers define
their daily routines, hopes and aspirations through song.
The time is set for Tuesday May 27, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in the Heather
Muller Black Box Theatre at 201 Lulu.
Actors 12 years old and up may audition. Please come with a
prepared song. An accompanist will be provided.
Performance dates are July 31st - August 3rd in the Heather Muller
Black Box Theatre.
