SUMMER WORKSHOP INSTRUCTORS

John Bazzelle has been in broadcasting, advertising, and video production since 1986.  At KSAS  TV , he went from night shift editor to senior producer while producing over 1500 local and regional commercial spots and creating the Fox Kid’s Club.   John has been a video production manager for Kent Audio Visual since 1997.  While there, he has done forensic video analysis for the FBI and other law enforcement agencies, produced corporate image and marketing training videos, produced news, documentaries, and feature videos for the History Channel, Discovery Channel, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, Fox News and every other major network.

 Lindsey Kirkpatrick is a recent graduate of WSU with a degree in Dance.  She was a dance student at WCT&DC for 10 years and has taught for us the past 6 years. She also studied at Oklahoma City University under Jo Rowan and Robert Reed.  Lindsey has  been a featured performer with Ballet Wichita.  She has also performed with our Once Upon a Time Players, and with Cabaret Old Town.

 *Cara Statham Serber is originally from Wichita where she began performing with WCT at the age of 8.   Cara received her BFA in Theatre at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.  Following graduation she performed at many regional theatres across the country and served as Tour Manager for the Wichita Children’s Theatre Touring Company for three years.   She now lives in Dallas with her husband Jeff and daughter Libby, where she has a successful stage and broadcast media career, with several national commercials including, Pam, Stanley Steamer, Pizza Inn and Riverbelle Casino.

 Kristen Bomhoff Woodburn is a local writer who began participating in WCT&DC at the age of 6.  Since that time, she performed in numerous productions, directed several shows in the Black Box, and stage managed for the main stage series.  An award-winning creative writer, Kristen holds a BA in English and has completed graduate level course work and fiction writing workshops.  She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and currently works as a script writer for a Wichita software company.  Kristen lives in Wichita with her husband Zach and sons Gary and Will.

"WORKING" AUDITIONS:

WORKING explores the American workday from the Monday morning blues to the second shift blahs as workers define their daily routines, hopes and aspirations through song. 
 
The time is set for Tuesday May 27, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in the Heather Muller Black Box Theatre at 201 Lulu.
 
Actors 12 years old and up may audition.  Please come with a prepared song.  An accompanist will be provided.
 
Performance dates are July 31st - August 3rd in the Heather Muller Black Box Theatre.
